DC Casting

Furukawa-Sky can hot top cast slabs of up to 32 tons, among the world's largest, for sheet use, and for extruded billet with excellent internal quality. Our meticulous quality control applies the most advanced inline filtering and precise temperature control.

Rolling

Our 400-meter long hot-rolling mill, one of the world's largest, and our high speed cold-rolling mill incorporate cutting-edge, computerized equipment with functions such as automatic flatness control (AFC) and automatic gauging control (AGC).

Extrusion

We have developed and put into practice the most advanced extruding technology, including numerical analysis to design dies with a high degree of accuracy and control for molding various alloys and shaping aluminum materials into a variety of forms.

Casting and Forging

We employ our own processes to meet extremely complex needs by integrating abundant experience with state-of-the-art technology, resulting in, for example, one of the largest 15,000-ton forging presses in Japan for large-scale, ring forged products, and high-precision cast products.

Coating and Surface Treatment

Furukawa-Sky is the only company in Japan that has a coating line specifically for aluminum. We apply surface treatments to produce basic characteristics, such as an attractive appearance and corrosion resistance, as well as special properties including electrical conductivity, fabrication, contamination resistance and extraordinary resistance to weather. Highly reliable products are manufactured utilizing our different types of coating and surface finishing processes, applied, for example, to materials for cans.
